Ed joined Deutsche Bank investment banking in 2002. He rose from the Deutsche Bank graduate program to head out the Bank’s energy proprietary trading desk. In 2008, Ed joined Geneva Energy Markets (GEM) taking it to the biggest market maker, liquidity provider and proprietary trader in the energy space in less than two years. In 2011, Ed established the Hartree Partners’ energy arbitrage and market making business line (most profitable desks three years in a row). In 2013 Ed joined Oak Capital to expand its trading strategies across the whole commodities spectrum (headcount from 4 to 100+ during mandate).
Ed graduated from Mc Gill, Canada (Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering) and INSEAD, France (MBA, 2003).
Olivier spent 12 years in Société Générale where he started as a junior trader to head the energy options trading desk. In 2007, Olivier joined Standard Chartered Bank to develop the energy trading in EMEA and US regions. Over 3 years, he developed SCB customers base, extending the range of energy products and active proprietary trading. In 2010, Olivier move to Oaktree Partners, managing one of the largest energy options trading book. Lastly, before joining TYR Capital, he co-managed Dandi Space GBP200 Mn property portfolio in London.
Olivier graduated from Neoma Business School in 1995. He holds a master’s degree in finance and econometrics.
Nick is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in risk management and commodities trading. Starting out his career with Geneva Trading in Dublin covering derivatives in commodities, rates, FX equities fixed income. In 2011 Nick and Ed established an energy market making and arbitrage desk at HETCO (now Hartree Partners). In 2013, he established Oak OTC with Ed, a market maker covering a diversity of commodities with global reach.
Nick graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast (MSc Finance, 2006).
Nick started his career in 2001 as a Research Analyst at FME in London. He became a designated market maker for the electronic markets on all the major derivatives exchanges in US/EU/USA and headed desks in STIRs, Government Bonds and Stock Futures. In 2010 he moved to Marex Spectron where he traded a proprietary book and in 2013 joined Oak Capital where he headed the electronic liquidity provision desk in energy. He later set up and headed the Quantitative Trading desk at Oak Capital.
Nick graduated from ICMA Centre, UK (MSc International Securities, Investment and Banking, 2000).
